A Safe Haven
POPPYS House
At POPPYS House, we offer short-term care for children who need a safe, nurturing environment during turbulent times. We empower these young women through educational and vocational training, equipping them with the skills and confidence to overcome challenges and build brighter futures.
Safe Water
Water Filters
The Water Filtration, Education, and Distribution Program provides clean, safe drinking water to Belen, Iquitos. It distributes portable filters, educates recipients on proper use, and conducts follow-ups to ensure effectiveness. Addressing severe waterborne illnesses caused by pollution, the program seeks to improve health and well-being in this underserved, flood-prone community.
Dental Care
Dentistry
People of Peru Project operates a modern two-chair dental facility that serves those in need five days a week, providing essential services to individuals without other options.
Food
Food Distribution
Our emergency food distribution program provides immediate relief to families in crisis, ensuring children and vulnerable individuals are fed when they need it most. We regularly identify families struggling to access basic food resources, and with your generous donation, we can stop hunger on the same day by providing essential food support to mothers, grandmothers, and families in need. Help us provide urgent assistance to those facing food insecurity and make a direct impact on their well-being today.
Education
Education Sponsorships
Education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty, and People of Peru Project is proud to see a growing number of students become successful, working professionals. By contributing, you are helping create long-term opportunities for these children, enabling them to achieve brighter futures and make a lasting impact in their communities.
Safe Lives
Medical Care
We are currently working to build a state-of-the-art hospital and surgery center in Iquitos, Peru, located in the heart of the Amazon rainforest. Serving over half a million people who lack access to adequate medical care, this hospital will provide essential, free medical services to the impoverished communities in the region. With a goal of $1 million to fund construction, we are more than halfway there and committed to completing this project. The facility will be staffed by local medical professionals and supported by volunteer medical teams, offering major surgeries, prenatal care, obstetrics, cataract and ophthalmic services, as well as a dental clinic. The hospital will also feature a laboratory, pharmacy, and facilities for X-rays and ultrasounds. Your support can help us bring crucial healthcare services to those in need.
